As a BDO-American Express accredited merchant, you can provide your customers with
wider credit card payment options.
An American Express card issued by BDO or any international bank
can be swiped in the Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal provided by BDO. A POS
terminal is an electronic device used by merchants to obtain authorization
for card transactions. The POS terminals may be connected to BDO in
different ways. It could be through dial up (using a telephone line);
wireless and/or mobile terminals (using GPRS technology, no telephone line
needed), or through a Local Area Network (LAN for merchant with multiple
terminals).
BDO's POS terminals are EMV (Europay, MasterCard, VISA) compliant, which
means credit and debit card transactions can be authenticated. We have
dedicated merchant sales teams and on-call engineers to visit your store(s)/
head office regularly, take care of your concerns, and ensure that your
POS terminals are always in good working condition.
